The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 602

Chapter 602

His men tried their best to persuade him.

After all, they thought it was easy for Derek to find a girlfriend, but he still stuck to chasing her.

He was determined even when she got entangled with other men.

"It's none of your business. Where are they now?"

Derek deleted the photos directly. He didn't believe it and thought that maybe there was some Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.

misunderstanding. He would not believe unless he saw it.

"Boss, are you coming here, aren't you?"

Hearing this, the man at the other end of the phone became anxious. Strong as Derek was, he had just

had a bone fracture. What if he got injured again after he went out of the hospital recklessly?

"No, you should recuperate in the hospital. It won't be too late for you to settle a score when you

recover."

"Tell me the address!"

Derek turned a deaf ear to his advice, even if he knew that it was risky to go out now. However, he

could not stay sane in the face of this situation.

He could sense Derek's resolution, and he knew his temper. If he didn't tell Derek the address, he

would run out and look for it himself, which would be even worse.

"I'll pick you up."

So he had to compromise.

Derek hung up the phone. He was no longer in the mood to read the notebook in his hand, and threw it

to the ground.

Before long, someone arrived to pick him up.

Derek didn't even change his clothes and got into the car in his hospital gown.

...

Meredith sat in the car, still feeling dizzy.

Parker saw this and brought her a small blanket. "Just sleep for a while. Maybe you'll feel better later.

It'll take a while to get there."

Meredith answered in a soft voice, "Okay." She continued, "It's all my fault. Fiona would be very sad if

she couldn't see her mother after she woke up..."

"Don't worry. There are other solutions."

Parker investigated Lydia. Since she didn't compromise on account of the bond between the mother

and daughter, he had to think of other ways.

She gave no answer.

Hearing this, Meredith was a little relieved and crashed out.

Seeing that she was asleep, Parker slowed down the car and turned on the heater in time to prevent

her from catching a cold.

About half an hour later, the car stopped at the entrance of the hospital.

After parking the car, he saw that she hadn't woken up, so he just sat there for a while rather than get

out of the car in haste.

The delicate feeling of sitting with her without disturbance calmed him down gradually, so he wanted to

enjoy this peace for a while more.

When Parker was sitting in a trance, Meredith frowned as she was still in the car which was not

spacious enough for a deep slumber.

Only then did Parker come back to his senses and smiled with resignation. He walked over and gently

picked her up.

As he was so gentle, and Meredith was sleeping soundly, he didn't wake her up.

Parker carried Meredith back to the hospital, but he didn't know that Derek had seen what he did.

Watching Parker carry Meredith out of the car so naturally, and Meredith did not struggle, he felt more

pain in his heart than in his injured arm.

However, he did not look away, but just looked at them square in the eye.

In the end, the person who brought him couldn't stand it anymore. "Boss, if you can't endure it, I'll go up

and give him a lesson."

He had been working for Derek for so long but had never seen Derek like this, who was dazed and

seemed to have lost all of his usual energy.

"Forget it."

Derek remained silent for a long time before finally answering in a low, husky voice.

Even if he did go, Meredith would still defend Parker.

Derek didn't want to see it. "Let's go back."

With that, Derek turned around, and Parker and Meredith were already out of his sight.

Maybe, he really should let go. In the past, he would have gone up and fought with Parker, but now, he

wasn't confident.

He would be devastated if watching Meredith protect Parker in front of him by then.

Seeing that Derek was so insistent, he had no choice but to drive him back.

As soon as Derek returned to the hospital, Violet and Evelyn rushed up and pulled him to examine him

from head to toe for a long time. "Derek, where have you been? You're not a child anymore. How could

you run around when injured?"

Violet came with Evelyn today and brought the chicken soup she cooked. However, when she arrived

at the hospital, the bed was empty. She had searched everywhere but didn't find him.

The two women panicked and thought that Derek had been kidnapped. They were relieved to see him

come back safe and sound.

"I went out to deal with something."

He sounded very tired and didn't want to respond to others.

"What can be more important than your health? Don't mess around anymore. Got it?"

Violet scolded Derek, but he did not respond.

Now, although he did come back, his thoughts had long been wandering around.

What he saw today was seared into his brain and kept replaying. Sick at heart, he didn't want to do

anything.

"Derek, Evelyn specially made the soup for you. Try it."

Seeing that Derek didn't take her words to heart, Violet sighed and could only shift the topic.

Derek glanced at Evelyn and was about to rush them away when a thought struck him.

"Mom, I want to talk to her."

Violet didn't know why, but she thought it won't be a bad thing if Derek wanted to talk to Evelyn. She

nodded and said, "Okay, you can talk."

After Violet left, there were only Derek and Evelyn in the room.

Derek rubbed his aching temples and asked, "Is your bet last time still in force?" His tone could tell his

bewilderment.

Evelyn was stunned for a moment, then she was overjoyed.

She thought Derek had long forgotten about it, but she didn't expect him to remember it.

"I always keep my word, so do you want to bet?"

A dim light flashed in his eyes. His sense told him that this choice was advisable and probably a trap,

but his sensibility told him to try.

At least, he could know whether Meredith is so heartless and didn't care about him at all.
