The Hidden Gold Mine Heiress Divorcee

Chapter 285

Chapter 285

Five Years Ago 1

It was five years ago.

In the meeting room on the top floor of the Bush Company’s building, all the senior management

was waiting

Because today, the big boss behind the group was going to attend this meeting!

The seven year flourishing development of the Bush Company witnessed its way toward the world’s largest sports and entertainment alliance at the beginning of the year.

Countless media around the world managed to secure a major scoop on the Bush Company. The company was in its heyday once in a while.

People were curious about the boss behind the group, who was actually able to create miracles again and again in just seven years.

But no one had seen the boss behind the scenes!

A hush descended in the meeting room, but everyone was silently guessing in their hearts.

The hour hand pointed to nine o’clock before they knew.

Suddenly!

There was a sound of steady and powerful footsteps.

Someone opened the door and came in!

Everyone’s attention was drawn over, and when they saw the person clearly, they all held their

breath.

The man was tall and straight, with a well-proportioned and perfect figure. Even though he wore a mask, one could still see his handsomeness from the delicate and smooth jawline.

With a strong aura, he walked in, passed by the crowd without looking sideways, and seated himself

on the only vacant seat.

Just as the secretary-general was about to speak, the man raised his hand and said, “Here we go.”

His voice was the same as the one heard online before, but it sounded more ruthless and decisive on

the spot.

All the people present had worked with the big boss and knew his style of doing things, so they all

perked up without thinking too much.

After the meeting, everyone only had admiration for the ability of the big boss.

“This year’s task has been sent to you guys, and you will be given three days to make a progress

plan. If you don’t think you can complete the task, then quit.” Boris’ eyes swept across the crowd through the mask, and he asked in a deep voice, “Is there any question?”

Everyone said in unison, “No.”

“The meeting is over.”

Boris had just entered his office, and before he looked at the new office, the phone rang.

Boris caught a glance at it, and the corners of his lips curved mockingly.

It was actually his biological father Sam, who called.

His mother, Mary, suffering from dystocia and hemorrhage after giving birth to him, had never

liked him ever since.

She was not a qualified mother. Before the age of four, he had often been given the cold shoulder.

Later, she heard from somewhere that Boris was a jinx to her and clamored to kill him all day long.

Once after Boris fell asleep, he suddenly felt short of breath. When he opened his eyes, he found his mother strangling his neck tightly.

She really wanted him to die.

After that incident, his father Sam couldn’t bear to be harsh on his mother, so he sent Boris abroad

to keep him alive.

It had been eighteen years.

From the age of four to twenty-two, Boris had stayed abroad and never returned home.

When he was a child, he longed for the visit of his parents or a phone call from them. Later, when his heart slowly hardened, he cut the wishful thinking.

Boris had forgotten that the last time Sam called was a few years ago, and he even suspected that

they had forgotten him.

The call came out of nowhere.

With a sneer, Boris pressed the answer button. “Who is it?”

The person on the other end of the phone was obviously stunned, which brought Boris a sense of inexplicable pleasure of revenge.

After a while, Sam’s kind voice sounded, “Boris, it’s me. Your mother and I plan to visit you this afternoon. Are you free?”

“I have parents?” Boris asked indifferently, “Why didn’t I know?”

“Boris.”

oris.” Hearing the mockery in his words, Sam softened his tone. “I know you’ve been holding grudge against us, but you have to understand us. We were out of choice back then.”

“So you left me alone abroad without even making a phone call and ignored me for eighteen years, but what did I do wrong? Is my birth a mistake?” Boris tried hard to contain his rage. When he realized that he was emotional, he took a deep breath and gritted his teeth. “Just go straight to the point. I’m busy.”

“Come to pick us up in the afternoon.” Sam lowered his voice and said, “We’ll arrive after three o’clock, and we have to catch a plane to see your uncle at six o’clock.”

“So you just drop by to see me.” Boris had long held no expectations for them, but the disappointment still filled his heart. “I’m not free.”

That being said, at two o’clock in the afternoon, he still took the car keys and left the company.

Boris waited there from 2:30 to 3:00, until 5:00, but they didn’t show up.

Boris was expressionless, probably numb due to disappointment. He had the urge to make a phone call to ask, but he held back in the end.

They wouldn’t come to see him, so why should he ask for an insult?

He didn’t care about family affection.

In the past eighteen years, wouldn’t he still be able to live well without his parents and affection?

Did he care about them?

Boris curled his lips mockingly, and just as he was about to leave the airport, the phone rang again.

This time it was Zezili calling.

Zezili would call him every now and then, and the relationship between Boris and his grandfather

was not bad.

The phone rang for a long time before Boris answered it, but what he received was shocking news.

“Boris, your parents’ plane crashed, and the company is in chaos. Come back and help me. I’ve sent

someone to pick you up.”

When Boris left Oslosall, he was only four years old, and now it had been eighteen years since he boarded the plane back home.

The flight lasted five hours. After Boris got on the plane, he kept his eyes closed to rest his mind.

While sleeping drowsily, he suddenly felt someone approaching, and under keen vigilance, his eyes

flew open.

Then he saw one of the bodyguards stabbing him with a needle in his hand.

He raised his leg and kicked at the man, and soon found that his whole body went limp.

Boris had no idea when he was being poisoned!

Oops!

Terrified in his heart, Boris still tried to keep his cool. He struggled to dodge the bodyguard, but soon another one came, and the two of them worked together and pinned him to the ground.

There was a sharp stabbing pain in the neck.

Boris watched helplessly as the tube of unknown fluid was injected into his body.

“Let go of me!” he growled.

The two bodyguards gave out a queer laugh, punching him one after another.

“Mr. Lewis, don’t blame us. You shouldn’t be alive in the first place!”

“You stand in the way of others! You deserve this!”

Boris took out the saber he was carrying with him from his sleeve and slashed hard on his leg. The severe pain kept him awake.

He shook his head violently, and the blurry double image gradually became clear.

When one of the bodyguards intended to attack him again, without hesitation, Boris stabbed his

heart with the saber in his hand.

The other bodyguards found that he had a saber and swarmed him.

Boris was a match for even ten of them. Even though he was not in a good state at the moment,

could still deal with them.

he

But just after all the bodyguards were knocked down to the ground, a sudden violent dizziness hit

him.

The plane was descending rapidly!

The pilot yelled, “You can’t survive, and no one can survive today!”

The instrument panel issued a warning sound. Relying on the last sense, Boris put on a parachute, opened the hatch, and jumped straight down! Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

He was betting!
