“Moon Goddess, my daughter, is such a drama queen,” Calvin said in disbelief, still trying to adjust that her daughter said that she was pregnant.
“You mean ‘OUR’ daughter?” Ethlyn pointed out. Calvin glared at her and started leaving from there as well when Ethlyn spoke again, “Alpha Calvin, Where is Nelina?”
“She is on leave.” Replying to her, he had barely taken a step when he heard her speaking again.
“I don’t know how to cook butter chicken and Garlic Naan.” She said this line in a low tone. Calvin turned around to glare at her, but this time Ethlyn looked here and there.

“Hello, Grandma,” Roselet waved her hand, looking at the screen of her Ipad. “You won’t believe me. They are cooking together for me,” She added with a wide smile.
“Aww!! You look so beautiful while smiling.” Sophia Haysbert said with a smile. “But how did you manage this?”
“Just like always, a little acting, a little drama, and fake threat,” Roselet said, playing with her hair and then blowing air with her mouth to make her hair fly in style.

“It’s strange that being a girl, you don’t know cooking,” Calvin commented, guiding the steps of Ethlyn of preparing chicken.
“Don’t tell me that your thinking is that old that girls are born to handle the kitchen and family,” Ethlyn said, frowning at his words.
“No. Obviously not. I’m sorry that I sounded like that.” Calvin quickly corrected himself. “Even my youngest sister, Lee, I mean, Liara, doesn’t know how to cook. Hell, she doesn’t even know how to fight. But that’s because she spent all her life between books.”
“You won’t believe me, but she completed high school when she was just twelve,” Calvin said. “She was the extraordinary type of genius. I used to call her NERD to tease her.”
“No doubt that’s why she is the youngest doctor in our world.” Ethlyn appreciated. She had a special type of respect for the medical students because her mother was a nurse, and she, too, wanted to be like her then. Calvin observed how Ethlyn’s eyes shined with pride and happiness while talking about Liara, but immediately she became sad.
“What was your dream because of which you stayed away from both the training ground and kitchen?” Calvin asked, all of a sudden, shocking Ethlyn.
“Nothing important. It doesn’t matter now.” She muttered and started placing the marinated chicken in the oil to fry.
“Carefully, or you will end up burning your hands,” Calvin said, grabbing her hand when she was most likely throwing chicken in the oil.
“I’m a werewolf. I can heal easily.” Ethlyn said.
“That doesn’t mean that you won’t take precautions,” Calvin said and removed her hand, sensing the tension between them. He could sense this easily because he had marked Ethlyn already, but it wasn’t that Ethlyn couldn’t see that it was affecting Calvin too. “So, what was your dream?”
“Why do you know about that? To mock me for how I couldn’t achieve my dream as well as I’m good at nothing?”
“Tone, Lady. I was just asking casually. There is no reason to react like this, and trust me; I won’t say that you’re not good in anything because I know you’re great in bed.” Calvin taunted and grinned like an evil, increasing the temperature of Ethlyn’s mind. She gritted her teeth but didn’t say anything about that.
“Everything was fine that night until I drank six shots of tequila,” Ethlyn spoke about that night. “Actually, I had turned eighteen just a couple of days before the mating ball, so… I just wanted to explore everything, you know.”
‘She was just eighteen then? And I was twenty-seven. Moon Goddess, she is nine years younger than me.’ Calvin mentally thought.
“I started feeling dizzy after drinking those shots.”
“By only six shots?” Calvin asked in surprise because the werewolves never get intoxicated that soon as they have high tolerance compared to humans.
“Yes!!” Ethlyn nodded her head. “Then Nathan took me to the hotel where rooms were arranged for all the Alpha/Luna and Beta of the packs,” Keanu was getting irritated by listening to everything, but Calvin somehow calmed down his wolf. “After I fell asleep, he left me in the room to attend the mating ball.”
“Why? In the absence of Alpha, Beta can handle everything.” Calvin pointed out. Hell, why the hell would anyone leave his intoxicated mate’s side, that too when she had drunk for the first time? What if she would have vomited or something else?
Ethlyn looked at Calvin without having any answer to this question because even she had the same question in her mind.
“I… I don’t know.” She mumbled, taking out the fried chicken on the plate. “I don’t remember much after that. All I remember was extreme pain all over my body and body burning in fire at god knows what hour. The pain… in which I felt I would die. The pain in which was getting unbearable for me.” Ethlyn kept explaining how she was feeling while Calvin’s jaws tightened hearing all this. If Nathan would have been standing in front of him at that moment, then he would have surely kicked his ass for leaving his mate in this situation.
“Whether you were a virgin, or your wolf was a virgin, or you both were virgins back then?” Calvin asked bluntly because only that were the chances when a wolf could be in heat. In short, the heat was a way when a female wolf wanted to intimate with her mate for the first time after finding him.
“My wolf, Cinder, was a virgin,” Ethlyn replied, looking at Calvin.
