Chapter 1914 Aurora’s Advice

Cindy didn’t want to bring up the whole mess about Yulia. It’s not like we can come up with a solution

anyway. So, she shelved that topic and asked Aurora, “He went to see you again? What did he say?”

Aurora sneered. “He talked about his ‘circumstances’, and he said he can’t forget about me. God, I

don’t know what to say. Everyone has their own circumstances. At this point, all of us have a lot of stuff

in life to deal with. If he thinks he can justify his past actions with that, he must think I’m stupid.”

Cindy was reminded of what the man told her the night before. And he said he didn’t want Aurora to

worry, but now he told Aurora everything. What a joke. He’s just finding an excuse. Aurora saw through

him. Cindy asked, “If you aren’t getting back with him, do you think he’ll keep clinging onto you? Can

you chase him away easily? If you say no enough times, will he give up?”

Aurora adjusted her position and crossed her legs. “He has a short temper and thin patience. If he’s still

the same man I know, he might give up if I keep saying no.”

That’s good to hear. Cindy nodded. “I don’t think that guy’s really reliable. Don’t get fooled. It doesn’t

matter if he’s sincere or not. You can’t give in just because he said sorry. At least think more about it.” NôvelDrama.Org content.

“Yeah.” Aurora then smiled. “Honestly, I don’t need any men in my life now. I’m doing well. If I can go

further in my career, everything will be perfect.”

She had experienced relationships when she was younger, and now that she had time to reflect upon

them, she realized they weren’t as nice as the dramas or novels made them out to be. There were a

million things to consider in a relationship, and a lot of the hardships were hidden in the details. People

praised relationships because they only looked at the bright side and ignored all the sad little tidbits in

it. Aurora had experienced all this, and she thought it was fine even if there was no romance in the

remainder of her life. She would be content with just being a rich and slightly famous old lady.

Cindy felt really sad for her, and she held Aurora’s hand. “You have us. We’re a family.”

Aurora held Cindy’s hand and patted its back. “Yes. I still have you guys. I don’t need men.”

Cindy finally laughed, and she heaved a sigh of relief. I’m glad she can think that way. They leaned

back on the couch, and Cindy told Aurora what the man said to her the night before.

Aurora sighed. “His grandchild wasn’t born yet when we broke up, but the delivery date was upon

them. I thought as much. His grandchild has a disability, huh?” Aurora said melancholically, “Emotions

affect everything, I say. When his daughter got pregnant, she kept thinking that her child was disabled,

and she just wouldn’t think otherwise no matter what we said. Now that her child is actually disabled, I

wonder if she thinks she’s a seer, or if she thinks she shouldn’t have been so pessimistic. That might

have been why her child was affected.”

She turned to look at Cindy. “No matter what we run into, we should always stay calm and look on the

bright side. Don’t frustrate yourself.”

Cindy was reminded of Ian’s matter. She pursed her lips for a while, then she nodded. “I see.”
