Chapter 1940 Separate Ways

Although Ian liked kids, he wanted to be the one receiving Cindy’s undivided attention. They hadn’t

spent enough time with each other yet, so he wanted to create more space for both of them. Once Ian

gave Hannah his word regarding this matter, she sounded much more relieved.

“That was pretty much what we talked about. For now, it seems like Hannah is pretty supportive of us,”

Ian uttered. The company naturally hoped for their relationship to last long, and for them to eventually

get married. This trajectory would be extremely beneficial to Ian’s reputation.

“I was scared for a second,” Cindy uttered as she leaned against Ian’s chest. He chuckled. “You’re

afraid now? What were you thinking when you made the post on Facebook?”

She sighed. “It was a spur-of-the-motion decision,” she uttered in a serious manner. She wasn’t lying—

she had made the decision because she was feeling especially bad about herself while sitting in the

lounge area of the airport. She was carsick, and her thoughts had somehow gone to Yulia, so she felt

sick both physically and emotionally. That gave her the urge to tell everyone that Ian belonged to her.

However, if one were to ask her if she had any regrets, her answer would be no. She had already

expected her actions to have their consequences. They cuddled on the couch for a while longer before Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.

they decided to head out for a walk.

Ian had to go to the office the next day, and the booting ceremony for his next filming project would

happen after that. The couple held hands and walked around their housing area on their last night

before work began.

Ian was covered up by a mask and a cap. However, even if he didn’t cover himself up, most of the

residents in the housing area had already recognized him. They continued strolling over to the

basketball court, but the court was empty as no one balled at that hour. Since the court was empty,

they stepped onto the court and walked around.

Cindy was reminded of the last time Ian played basketball with others, and how she had been watching

from the side. Although they weren’t together at that time, she had already found him rather attractive.

Ian walked one round around the basketball court before stopping under the hoop. “When did you start

liking me?” All of a sudden, he questioned Cindy in a curious tone. She froze for a moment as they had

never had this discussion in the past.

When did I start liking him? I don’t think there was a specific point in time that I can recall… I was

already fully in love with him when I realized what was going on. I’m sure I’ve always liked him since

the first day I started working as his assistant. I can’t help it—he’s just too flawless.

Cindy giggled as she took his arm. “I don’t know. I fell for you before I realized it, so I’m not sure when

exactly did it happen,” she replied.

He reached his arm out and pulled Cindy over to face him. Since the court was empty, he didn’t need to

bother about what others thought, and he just cupped her face before kissing her on the lips.

She wasn’t shy about it, so she hugged Ian’s waist and kissed him back. Ian only let go of her when

they were both panting. “We’ll be going our separate ways from tomorrow onward. This feels so

unfamiliar.”

Cindy had some other concerns as well. “Don’t you dare look at other pretty girls while you’re at your

filming set! If anyone tries to get close to you for non-work purposes, you should just ignore them,” she

urged.

Ian laughed. “I don’t think they will look at me. Don’t worry, I’m not as popular as you think I am.”

However, she didn’t seem reassured. “Just promise me that you won’t pay any attention to those girls.

Promise me.”

He held his hand up as if he was about to say an oath. “Okay, okay. I promise I won’t pay any attention

to them. If they come to me for anything other than work, I will ignore them first and scold them if they

do it a second time.”

Cindy giggled. She knew that he was exaggerating and that he wouldn’t scold others, especially since

there were a lot of seniors on the movie production team. Once Ian got in there, he would have to be

extremely nice toward them.
