Chapter 2030

Chapter 2030 The Suite

In some ways, Cindy was feeling sorry for her own bank account.

It was time for lunch by the time they got to the hotel, so Logan asked if they wanted to have a meal or

if they wanted to rest first. While they were on the way to the hotel, Cindy realized that Aurora seemed

rather pale. "I'm tired. I want to nap." Cindy took the opportunity to speak for Aurora.

Ian stroked the back of Cindy's head. "You slept on the way here. Are you still tired?"

She nodded. "I didn't sleep well, so I feel really weak now."

"Okay. You guys can get some sleep, and we'll meet up for dinner later. I'll go home to check on my

wife, and I'll call you guys later," Logan suggested.

Upon agreeing to the plan, Logan left them at the entrance of the hotel before driving off. Logan had

requested neighboring rooms. Once Cindy and Ian got to their room, they turned to see Aurora

stepping into the room next door. As she walked in, she didn't seem to be in a really bad state, but she

didn't seem to be doing really well either. Cindy let out a sigh as she followed Ian into their room. Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

Logan had prepared a spacious suite for them. There was a wardrobe in the room, and Cindy opened it

to find two dresses and two suits inside. These are probably the outfits that Logan prepared for us.

Ian walked over and hugged Cindy from the back after he kept the luggage away. "He even got us two

sets," Ian muttered as he stared at the outfits in the wardrobe. "There was no need for that. One set

would've been enough. He's so extra."

Cindy agreed—it wasn't as if they were hosting a proper wedding. Cindy had always preferred things to

be simple, but she was naturally thankful for all that Logan had done for them. "Do you want to try it

on?" Ian held her dress up to take a look at it.

She sighed as she wasn't in the mood for that. "Let's rest and shower before trying them on. I'd like to

lie down for a while."

Ian nodded and placed the outfits back into the wardrobe before leading Cindy into their room, his arms

still around her waist. Their room had a king-sized bed with banners hanging on the wall and petals

scattered all over their bed as decoration.

Cindy felt bad lying on the bed when she saw how much effort had been put into decorating it. This

really feels like a wedding more than an engagement. Ian, on the other hand, didn't seem too troubled

by the decorations. He pulled his pajamas out of his luggage and changed into them before clearing

the petals off the bed and lying down.

Ian hadn't gotten any rest on the way here, so he was pretty exhausted. Cindy climbed into bed as well

after changing her clothes. She knew she wasn't going to fall asleep, so she turned to ask Ian a

question. "Did you tell Sean about this?"

Ian nodded. "I did. I texted him when I was in the car. He's probably busy now; he would've seen my

text otherwise."

"I wonder how things are with Miss Zimmerman," Cindy mumbled.

Ian didn't know much about this matter either, as he hadn't followed up on it. However, based on his

knowledge of Leah, she was probably going to stay in the hospital for a long while. Leah was so

terrified of death, she would send herself to the hospital even if she just felt slightly feverish. Whenever

she felt a little unwell, she would stay in the hospital to get herself treated.

Since she had broken her leg this time, she would certainly request an extended stay in the hospital.

Furthermore, it would be tough for her to travel around with a leg injury, and she probably knew that

Simon wasn't going to look after her. After considering all these factors, it was likely for her to choose to

stay in the hospital.

"Have you dreamt about your dad recently?" Cindy turned back to face the ceiling.

Ian was stunned to hear her question. He had been about to fall asleep, but his eyes shot wide open

after hearing her question. He mimicked her movements to turn and face the ceiling as he answered

her question. "No. I used to dream about them while I was living away from them, but I've never dreamt

about him ever since he passed away."

Cindy pressed her lips together before talking about her past. "I used to dream about my dad all the

time when he first passed away. I would dream about all sorts of horrible scenes, and I would feel

extremely sad whenever I woke up from them."
