Chapter 728 Do You Think This Will Kill You?
Upon hearing that, Kingsley looked coldly at them and questioned, "Do you know where Cayden is?"
"No, I don't know," one of the bodyguards said.
"Mr. Stewart didn't tell us the child's location because he was afraid you would attack us. He just instructed us to watch you. So even if you kill us, you'll get no useful information." Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
"I didn't expect Horace to be quite clever," Kingsley continued as he sat down slowly on the stone steps by the road.
As he spoke, he beckoned to the two bodyguards. "Come sit down and chat with me."
"No." The two of them shook their heads at the same time. "You're dangerous. Mr. Stewart told us not to get close to you."
"Do you think that staying away from me will keep you safe?"
Kingsley picked up a stone from the ground and flipped it in his hand while grinning.
"Would you believe me if I said I could take your lives even if you stood there?"
The two bodyguards simultaneously sneered, a hint of disdain on their faces.
"We know you are skilled, but do you really think you can kill us with a pebble? Are you joking?"
"That's right. Do you think you're in a fantasy novel? Even if you are powerful, it's absolutely impossible to kill someone with a pebble!"
"Who said I was going to use this pebble?" Kingsley asked with a sly smile.
"Then how can you—"
The two bodyguards stopped speaking before they could finish, remaining motionless like statues.
They immediately displayed expressions of horror, as if they had witnessed a ghost.
Then, Kingsley drew a pistol from his waist as if it appeared out of thin air.
His movements were so fast that they almost thought it was a magic trick.
"Do you think this will kill you?" Kingsley asked while grinning.
After that, he pointed the gun at the ground next to him and pulled the trigger.
Bang!
The ground seemed to rise up like a small whirlwind when a gunshot was fired, and it was intense!
The extremely hard ground instantly revealed a shocking dent, and the two bodyguards were stunned.
For a moment, they even suspected that Kingsley had pulled out a fake gun.
Their only sign of luck vanished, though, when they noticed the bullet hole on the ground.
Not only these two security guards but also the waiters at the Jade Hotel, were taken aback.
They all ducked behind the counter, afraid to peek out.
Kingsley tapped the stone steps next to him with his pistol, instructing, "Come, come sit down."
"O-okay."
The two bodyguards dared not refuse anymore. They approached Kingsley's side slowly, like terrified little girls.
As they sat shakily, Kingsley icily said, "Send a message to Horace, and tell him that I am still in the private Room 6 and have not come out."
How could the two bodyguards, who were so terrified they were about to pee their pants, dare defy Kingsley's orders?
They quickly took out their phones and sent a message to Horace.
Shortly after, Horace responded, "Good! Keep an eye on him. If anything changes, let me know right away.
After dispelling Horace's suspicions, Kingsley extended his hand and said, "Hand over your phones."
Without attempting any tricks, the two bodyguards submissively handed Kingsley their phones.
Meanwhile, the Honda SUV carrying Shannon was speeding.
Just as they were about to reach the highway intersection, the driver suddenly said, "Shaun, it seems like there's a traffic jam ahead. It looks like at least thirty cars are stuck."
"What's going on?" Shaun craned his neck to take a look and cursed, "D*mn it! How can there be a traffic jam in this isolated place?"
The driver slowed down and pointed ahead, saying, "Shaun, look. It seems like the traffic police are checking documents."
"Pull over and find out!"
