Chapter 774 Not Our First Meeting!
Chapter 774 Not Our First Meeting!
Reene couldn't help but smile sweetly as her gaze landed on Kingsley's figure. In fact, her beautiful eyes were practically sparkling with adoration. It was a look that only appeared when someone had caught sight of someone they loved.
When Francis noticed Reene's expression, he couldn't help but think, It seems that the relationship between these two is not as simple as brother and sister...
Nonetheless, she was unaware of his inner musing as she rose to her feet and gestured toward Francis, saying, "Kingsley, this is the CEO of Ramada Corporation, Mr. Stein."
While she was still introducing the two men to one another, Francis had already jerked to his feet long ago. He was so nervous that he made sure to wipe his palms before extending his right hand, anxiously introducing himself, "Dr. Nicholson, I'm Francis Stein."
He was one of the top entrepreneurs in Cleapolis. So, he always had the appearance of a successful person and would never act so jumpy even when he was facing the mayor!
Yet, he couldn't help but break out in cold sweat when he saw Kingsley Nicholson in the flesh!
Kingsley simply nodded at him. "Mr. Stein, it's nice to meet you."
Francis could only awkwardly retract his right hand and smile. "This is not our first meeting."
"Oh?" Kingsley asked in curiosity, "Have we met?"
Francis hesitated momentarily before replying, "At William Jacob's funeral. The power you displayed at that time left a deep impression on me!"
Only then did Kingsley recall that he had shot and killed one of the Jacobs' lackeys and destroyed William's coffin before striding out of the premises.
It seemed that this Mr. Stein was one of the guests that day and happened to witness the scene of him killing someone and destroying the coffin.
So, he curled his lips into a smirk, drawling, "Oh, what power is this you speak of? Are you sure you're not praising me just to get into my good graces?"
"Well..." Francis trailed off for a moment as he gathered himself. Then, he explained, "Dr. Nicholson, I already knew deep in my bones that you were definitely not an ordinary person right then! Sure enough, you turned out to be a highly skilled doctor! In fact, people have been lauding you as the God of Medicine."
Meanwhile, Reene noticed the few beads of sweat dotting Francis' forehead as she interjected gently, "Mr. Stein, please have a seat while you chat. I need to find Mr. Parker to discuss some matters, so feel free to use the office."
Then, she took a folder and promptly left the office.
After she departed, Francis and Kingsley sat on the couch, facing each other.
Kingsley wasn't in a hurry as he picked up a bottle of soda from the coffee table, opened it, and took a languid sip.
On the other hand, Francis took his time contemplating before finally speaking, "Dr. Nicholson, I heard... you cured Old Mr. Kean of his illness?"
Kingsley put down his soda and nodded. "Yes, it was me."
He was well aware that Francis wanted him to treat Hugo. Nonetheless, he wasn't about to bring it up first. When one was facing someone like Francis, who had been immersed in the business world for half his life, one could only avoid being at a disadvantage by remaining calm!
Sure enough, Francis' eyes flickered slightly when he heard Kingsley's perfunctory response.
Francis couldn't help but think, Dr. Nicholson should be aware of just why I'm here. I'm certain that Reene has already told him about my son. Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
If it were an ordinary young person, they would definitely be eager to bring up the topic just to curry his favor! After all, the reputation of Ramada Corporation was well known for a reason.
Not everyone had the opportunity to brag about lending Francis a hand! Yet, this young man before him seemed almost nonchalant!
Thus, he thought it over briefly before cutting straight to the chase, saying, "Dr. Nicholson, the reason I came today is to ask you for a favor. Please save my son."
This was not a business negotiation. It was about his son's life!
At this point, he no longer cared about who had the initiative!
Instead, he could only endure Kingsley even if the man decided to make outrageous demands!
"Your son?" Kingsley quirked an eyebrow. "The one who is in a vegetative state?"
Francis quickly nodded as he continued, "It seems you have also heard about it. My eldest son was beaten into a vegetative state and has been lying in bed for several months. I beg of you. Please treat my son!"
