True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 2016

Chapter 2016

Gary lowered his head and ate. He ate his food one bite at a time, but he could not enjoy the taste of the food at all. He was only eating to survive. Celeste could not bear to see him eat so mindlessly. She wanted to speak, but the words she wanted to say were stuck in her throat and she could not force herself to say anything.

She felt a little tired too, she did not know what to do.

She was just relieved that he was eating properly.

The two of them finished eating in silence, and Gary sent Celeste to their room to rest.

When Celeste was back, she started to read. Gary seemed to be doing something on his computer. The two of them were busy with their own business. Ever since Gary returned to the room, he never spoke. He was fully occupied on his computer, seemingly extremely busy with personal affairs.

Celeste did not disturb him either. As she read, she would occasionally raise her head to look up at Gary.

On the other hand, Gary was staring at his computer attentively. Soon, Celeste realized that over an hour had passed, but Gary never looked up at her for even once. His long slender fingers never even stopped typing on the keyboard, and his movements were extremely fast.

She thought that he was probably immersed completely in his work.NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

Celeste did not disturb him nor did she make any noise. She feared that she would disturb Gary's work.

However, she did not expect three more hours to pass just like that.

Celeste was afraid of disturbing Gary, so she did not move. However, she was a little thirsty, and she wanted to pour herself some water to drink. She looked towards Gary a few times, but he never even looked up. His handsome brows were bunched in a knot.

It seemed like the situation on his side was not so optimistic.

She pursed her lips. She hesitated for a moment before she stood up and gently walked out of the room.

Gary still did not move. It was as if he was completely immersed in his own world.

Celeste poured two cups of water, one for herself and the other for Gary.

When she returned to the room, Gary was still looking at the computer. He seemed busier than before.

Celeste held the water in her hand. She thought that it was inappropriate for her to disturb Gary at this moment. Hence, she put down the water and took a sip out of her cup before sitting down.

It was true that a man looked the best when he was serious.

Gary was staring at his computer expressionlessly. He looked really handsome. The wrinkles between his eyebrows when he frowned added so much more charm to him.

In the end, Gary was almost done with his work. He let out a long sigh of relief and continued typing on his keyboard for a few more times before he finally decided to look up.

Almost instantly, his gaze met with Celeste's. Right after he looked at her, he got up and walked towards Celeste.

She was stunned. She hurriedly picked up the glass of water she placed beside her and gave it to him.

This was not Gary's original purpose. When he saw the cup of water in Celeste's hands, he was a little stunned. He reached out and accepted the water, then drank it in one gulp.

After he put down the cup, his eyes were still as deep as ever. He locked his gaze on Celeste's eyes, and a charming glimmer could be seen in his eyes.

After that, he squatted down in front of Celeste so that their gazes were at equal level.

Celeste could only smile awkwardly. Suddenly, Gary startled her by suddenly inching closer towards her. His handsome face was already completely in front of hers, and they were so close that they could feel each other's breaths.

Her heart was beating wildly as the two of them stared at each other. The affection in their eyes was so deep and full.

His nose was almost touching hers. They could feel each other's breaths at such a close distance.

Celeste suddenly looked away as she felt a little embarrassed.

However, Gary held up her chin and muttered, "Celeste, if I had never betrayed you... If I had never touched Janice at all, would you not mind that much?"

Celeste's heart tightened. She looked towards him with a hint of doubt in her eyes as she asked hopefully, "Have you discovered anything?" "No," Gary shook his head.

The light in Celeste's eyes suddenly dimmed. If he could not find out the truth, didn't that mean they could not be in a relationship anymore?

Gary saw the passing emotions in Celeste's eyes and quickly added, "It's just that my mind is getting clearer and clearer. I have a feeling that what happened that day was different from how she described it."

Celeste pursed her lips together, confusion brimming in her eyes.

"I want to try something," All of a sudden, Gary said seriously. Celeste was puzzled, "How?"

"I want to try to drink as much as I did that day and see if I'm up to do it," Gary suggested, "Instead of trying to remember what happened a million times over, it would be better to try it once."

Celeste was stunned and gasped "You want to drink on the ship?"

"That's right," With that, Gary ordered someone to bring wine for them.

He had already made up his mind. Not long after, the wine arrived. All sorts of wine could be seen.

Celeste was greatly shocked by what she was seeing.

"Just how much did you drink that day?" Celeste stared at the heap of wine bottles in front of her in astonishment. "Just these," Gary gestured, "I remember drinking a glass of each type of wine until I couldn't drink anymore."

When Celeste saw how much wine there was, she was terrified.

If he drank this much, wouldn't he get alcohol poisoning?

Gary did not make much prior preparation. Almost immediately, he poured a glass of wine for himself then started to drink.

After two and a half hours, he was still drinking, but his vision was getting fuzzy.

He was staring at Celeste and muttering. However, Celeste could not hear him clearly.

That was because he had lost control of his speech and was mumbling feverishly.

It seemed that he had really drunk too much. He was slumped in his seat weakly and limply like a ragdoll.

By the time he drank the last glass of wine, he immediately collapsed onto the table.

After that, no matter how hard Celeste called for him, he did not wake up.

Celeste stretched out her hands to help Gary up.

She used almost all of her strength

to lift him up. He was staggering on and couldn't even stand

his

let alone walk on his

own.

His mouth was positioned right beside Celeste's ear. Even his breath was hot as he muttered repeatedly, "Celeste, I was wrong."

Celeste felt a little uncomfortable.

Up until now, he was still blaming himself. Furthermore, he even resorted to such a method to prove that he had not cheated on her. When she saw how hard he was working and how sincere he was, Celeste felt a warm, fuzzy feeling that was mixed with sadness. It took her a great deal of effort to haul him to the bed. Gary then flopped himself headfirst onto the mattress and stopped resisting. Celeste looked at the man who was lying motionlessly on the bed and frowned.

She then decided to help him take off his clothes. Despite using a lot of strength to remove his coat, he just did not wake up.

After that, Celeste realized that he

was still wearing his pants. Her gaze was immediately fixed on his belt as

she hesitated whether she should help him unbuckle his belt.

For some unknown reason, she suddenly felt a little nervous. It was as if she was looking forward

to an answer.

She had a feeling that judging by Gary's current drunken state, it was impossible for him to do anything to Janice.

At the very least, Celeste trusted Gary enough to know that he wasn't capable of having such thoughts in such a state.

She took a deep breath and hesitated. In the end, Celeste decided to help him take off his clothes.

Her slender fingers reached over and loosened his belt.

Still, Gary did not move.
