True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 2033

Chapter 2033

Gary paused for a moment before squinting his eyes at Celeste. After a long while, he finally decided to mutter, "I understand you're mad at me, but you don't need to take it out on the fruits."

Celeste was stunned. She gasped, halfembarrassed, "That's not what I meant. I'm just not hungry."

"It's been several hours since we have returned from the beach, and you haven't touched any food since we came back. I would believe you if you were made out of steel," Gary was adamant.

Celeste frowned, "How do you know I didn't eat anything? I ate a bit when I was downstairs just now."

"You were only downstairs for five minutes before Lowell came upstairs. What could you possibly eat in five minutes? Furthermore, Lowell even talked to you before coming upstairs."

"Judging by my understanding of Lowell, he probably spoke a bit with you, am I right? In the midst of it, he most likely also wasted some time hesitating and stumbling over his words, right?"

Celeste could only sigh helplessly, which was a rare sight to see.

Gary's keen observation skills were as sharp as ever.

Celeste could only chuckle dryly, "Fine, you got me. I just have no appetite, okay?"

"I'm afraid that it's not possible if you don't eat," Gary said as he gestured at the plate again. It meant that he probably wouldn't give up until Celeste finally took a bite.

Celeste heaved heavily, "Why are you forcing me to eat?"

"Oh fine, I won't force you, but since you've gotten thinner and you're not eating, you will need to expect my mom advising you to eat more. Just think about it: do you want to eat now and look a bit healthier, or do you want to head back and have my mom force feed you?" Gary had no choice but to use his mother as an excuse.

Celeste was stunned, but as a result, she reached out and finally accepted the plate of fruits. After sitting herself down, she started nibbling on the fruits silently.

Gary finally burst into a wider smile since he felt relieved to see Celeste eat.

Fortunately, Celeste wasn't immensely stubborn. Otherwise, he would've run out of patience and would probably end up doing something he'd regret. As he watched Celeste eat the fruits in silence, he felt much relieved.

However, Celeste really didn't have much appetite and put the plate down after taking a few bites.

As soon as she looked up, she saw Gary staring at her. The look in his eyes was deep and focused but he said nothing at all. He just kept staring at her.

Celeste's heart tightened. Just as she was about to shift her gaze away, Gary spoke.

"No matter what happens, you need to take care of your health. Eat up and rest well. It's not worth risking your own health over someone like me." Celeste was stunned as she heard those words, a pain immediately flashing in her eyes.

She was devastated to see Gary look so upset and downcast.

Just when Celeste was about to say something, Gary had already turned to leave. All that was left in her sight was his tall and firm silhouette which seemed rather lonely and desolate.

Celeste was distressed.

Was he giving up on himself?

Celeste felt like that was really the case. If Gary chose to give up on himself because of her decision, she would be terribly disappointed in herself. However, she had no choice. Whenever she closed her eyes, the contents of the video would instantly come to mind. The very thought of it made her heart ache and her lungs tighten.

She just could not turn a blind eye to this.

After taking a deep breath, Celeste went to the bathroom and took a shower. She changed into some fresh clothes and dried her hair.

She wanted to look clean and freshened up so no one would guess that they had broken up.

She had to look energetic in order to make sure Grace wouldn't feel worried or anxious upon meeting. Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

In the meantime, Gary left the room and stayed outside for a while. Nevertheless, uit felt unbearable to leave Celeste even for a mere half an hour. He had to enter the room again.

As he opened the room door, Celeste had finished showering and just changed into a new set of clothes. Her hair was already neatly combed and she looked innocent and fresh.

Celeste flicked her eyes towards the door as Gary entered. She shot a glance at him and continued tidying up her things without saying a word. She didn't bother to care about Gary or even greet him.

Gary thought that he was acting rather shamelessly at the moment. At this point, he already agreed to Celeste's choice of punishment. Yet, he continued to pester her in an attempt to amend their broken relationship.

Now that he reflected on his actions, he found himself difficult to comprehend. He was truly brazen.

Gary took a deep breath and placed one hand in his pocket. He forced himself to smile gently as he did back then.

After that, he walked up to Celeste and sat opposite her.

Celeste was in the midst of folding her clothes, stacking each clothing neatly on top of the other.

It was almost an obsession of hers to fold her clothes in a prim and proper manner.

Not only did she do so for her own clothes, she would even fold others clothes as such. It wasn't an exaggeration to say that she required all the clothes to be neat and tidy.

Gary just stared at Celeste.

Celeste was stunned. Something was not right.

As though reading her mind, a glint flashed through Gary's eyes as he suddenly asked, "Celeste, how are we going to sleep when we head back?" The very mention of this made Celeste freeze.

Her hands paused in mid air for a good few seconds.

All the while, Gary just watched Celeste casually, as though the question he asked was about the weather and not about their sleeping arrangements.

However, Celeste knew what he meant. In fact, it felt like he had asked it intentionally.

Celeste pursed her lips, "Once we get back, we will definitely have to stay in the same room. We can't stay separately. If we do, Uncle Jones and Aunt Smith will definitely catch on."

"That's why I think we should stay in the same room once we go back. You can take the bed and I can sleep on the floor. We can just pretend to be couples in front of your family."

Upon hearing that, Gary's pupils immediately shrank.

Celeste was determined to break up with him.

He had asked this intentionally as this matter was rather imminent, but it was clear that it was unlikely that Celeste would have a change of heart.

Gary scoffed at himself before

refusing, "Soyou're asking me to let

I nee

a woman sleep on the floor. Are looking down on me, or are you overestimating yourself? No matter what happened between us, do you think I'd let you sleep on the floor While I take the bed?"

Celeste was startled. However, she didn't take long to give in, "Alright. So are you saying that you'll take the floor and I'll take the bed?"

Gary glanced at Celeste and suggested, "I'll sleep by the bay window."

Celeste was stunned and fell silent momentarily.

After quite some time, she looked up into Gary's eyes before mumbling under her breath, "The wind by the bay window will be too strong at night."

Gary immediately caught on and asked, "Are you worried about me?"

Celeste frowned. She felt sorry, but the problem was that it was no longer appropriate for them to sleep on the same bed.

However, Gary was acting so brazenly.

The

very next moment, Gary suggested, "In that case, let's sleep together. We have slept together for quite some time now, and sleeping on the floor

will just make us seem too unreasonable."
