True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 2054

Chapter 2054

Celeste was surprised. She knew about this matter but not the whole story.

Indeed, at first, Gary had been concerned about the fact that Heinz had been married before. And to have such a man as his father hurt his pride. But more than that, he felt like it wasn't fair to his mother.

But if he hadn't called Heinz Dad nor changed his surname because of this, didn't it mean Gary hated Heinz?

Celeste had a complicated expression on her face.

Many people would've felt as Gary did.

Grace was so open-minded to be able to accept Heinz, despite knowing that he had been married. She went through so much and finally got together with him. And they even had so many children together and were living happily.

Grace must have overcome so much grasp her happiness.

But would she be able to accept what Gary had done?

Gary did not do it intentionally, so perhaps she could forgive him.

However, Celeste felt that she wasn't able to do it for now. She wanted to ask Grace how she overcame everything and let go of the past. But she did not say a word.

As if she had already seen through Celeste's thoughts, Grace smiled and said, "Are you curious why I never minded that Heinz had been married? And the fact that he kept it from me?"

Celeste was surprised. She was amazed that Grace could see through her.Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

She was indeed very curious because it was similar to what she was experiencing.

She wanted someone to act as her guide.

But when she came across that someone, she couldn't bring herself to ask.

She couldn't help feeling anxious.

How could she not feel surprised to have her thoughts pointed out by Grace?

Since it was brought up, Celeste nodded and said, "Yes. How did you overcome it?"

"I was bothered. Butthen, I realized I was bothered because he had lied and kept his previous marriage from me. It wasn't because he was married before," replied Grace.

Celeste's jaw dropped.

Grace continued, "It happened when I hadn't got to know him, so he wasn't in the wrong."

"It's understandable for him to have known others and had a different life before me."

"Then their relationship ended. When he got to know me, he was already out of that relationship. As for me, I never got in between them either." "What I cared about was the fact that he never came clean about his previous marriage, making him a liar by omission."

"I thought of this matter for some time."

Celeste was stunned to hear such direct words from Grace.

She nodded and listened carefully.

Grace continued, "I even asked myself whether I loved Heinz and if I cared for him. If I did care, was it really love?"

"The answer was clear, I love him, so I should be more understanding. He was afraid that I would leave him."

"The fact that he kept it from me meant that he loves me a lot. When I thought of that, my thoughts cleared up."

"Life is short. Why not enjoy it while you can? Why linger on stuff that makes us unhappy?"

Celeste was stunned and didn't speak for a long time.

"It's such a rare thing to find someone you love and who loves you back. Only then could two people grow old together. It would have been torturous

to have to spend your life with no feelings for each other. As long as there's love, nothing is impossible."

"I've asked myself the same questions again and again. Do I love him? Do I want to be with him forever? Or do I want to leave and end my suffering?"

"But would leaving really end my suffering?"

"Maybe not either."

Grace was right.

Celeste had to agree that separating might not lead to happiness.

"I might be sad, but it wasn't worth separating with my lover for something like this." Grace continued as she observed Celeste.

Celeste was also stunned, her heart in turmoil.

She analyzed her words, knowing why Grace was telling her all of that.

She knew she would never be happy if she left Gary, but what should she do now?

But if she told him that she didn't mind at all, it would be lying to him.

Celeste felt that she could not do it.

She refused to be a liar. Not to Gary and not to herself.

She had no way of ignoring it as it would lead to a festering bitterness in her heart.

She envied Janice.

Very much.

She felt like she couldn't breathe whenever she imagined Janice naked on top of Gary.

She was mad.

He had refused to listen to a word she said while he was in Scotland. And she was upset knowing that he cared about Janice.

Moreover, Gary had never tried to put distance between him and Janice.

Celeste thought that it was ironic.

It made her feel like he had given her empty promises.

If he had taken her advice, he would have been more guarded against Janice, and Janice wouldn't have taken advantage of him.

To put it bluntly, it was he who had given Janice the chance.

Even though he knew that Janice had feelings for him, he never refused her. She was sad that he did so despite knowing about it from the beginning. But right now, Celeste didn't know which part of it was bothering her. Perhaps she was upset that he had allowed Janice to get close to him.

If Gary had been cautious and guarded, he would have put some distance between him and Janice. Then perhaps he wouldn't have fallen into Janice's scheme.

Celeste let out a wry smile and said, "I am impressed by how open-minded you were with this matter. If I were you, I wouldn't be able to do the same."

She said these words as a reply to Grace but also to herself.

Grace was taken aback. This could be Celeste's final decision. It seemed that it was fate that Celeste and Gary's relationship was to be a rocky one and might end.

She didn't want them to break up.

Her heart was in her throat.

It seemed that Celeste couldn't convince herself.

Of course, their circumstances were different than that of her and Heinz.

It was hard to get over it.

It didn't seem realistic to force Celeste into forgiving Gary either.

Plus, back then, she had Gary and Ernest to think about.

She was also thinking from a mother's standpoint when she considered the future of her relationship with Heinz. She had to think about her children's future.

But it was a different story for Celeste.

She was at the peak of her life with no children.

It was unrealistic to force such a young lady to accept things as they were now.

Grace knew that time was also a factor that made her more open-minded and forgiving.

Anyway, she couldn't force a young lady like Celeste to be tolerant.

What's more, Gary was in the wrong.

After all, her son got some other woman pregnant. He was wrong to have given the girl a chance to sleep with him.

Therefore, Grace smiled and said sincerely, "You are still young, and it's natural that you can't do it now. After all, not everyone could either."

Celeste's heart tightened as she was touched by her words.

Her eyes were turning misty for hearing how understanding Grace was. It made her feel apologetic.

With that, she looked down, not daring to look into Grace's eyes, for fear that she would burst into tears.

After thinking about it, Grace smiled

and comforted her. "You're a

wonderful person. Just listen to what your heart is telling you. Make sure to put yourself first. Sometimes you need time to understand what you want. I hope you can stay clear-headed, so you wouldn't make decisions you would regret."

However, Celeste knew she would regret her choice.

But there were things she just couldn't do.

"Thank you for the advice." Celeste sighed and said, "I feel that talking with you is better than reading from a book as you have been through all of these. I will remember your words and ask my heart what it desires when making my decision, know what to do now, thanks to you."

"Alright." Grace nodded as she looked at Celeste tenderly.

Celeste looked up to meet Grace's gaze and smiled. "You're so kind."

"Silly girl, there's no need to thank me." Grace smiled and praised her, "You are kind too. And smart. Everyone should always be kind to others."

After hearing that, Celeste felt all kinds of emotions.

And she brought them upstairs with her.

Gary was not in the room when she entered.

Celeste didn't know where he went. He said that he would be upstairs, but he was not in his room or the bathroom. Was he on the roof?

While she was still in a daze, the door suddenly opened.

Gary's tall figure entered.

He said, "I have something that requires my presence. I'll only be back after 6.30 p.m. You can do what you want. There's no need to wait for me."

She nodded. "Okay. Take your time. I'll go take a shower and nap." "Alright." Gary stared at Celeste before leaving.
