True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 2066

Chapter 2066

"Alright then." Gary said, "But this is the only thing we can do now, isn't it?"

Yandrea could tell it wasn't convenient for Gary to speak since his words were so ambiguous.

They were quite familiar with each other, so Yandrea could tell almost instantly that Gary had someone else by his side.

"Are you with Celeste?" Yandrea said in a different tone.

Gary paused and looked in Celeste's direction, then said, "Yes, we're having dinner."

"Oh, I see." Yandrea smiled and said, "It doesn't seem appropriate to talk. Don't worry. I will do what I should do, but you should save me some face too."

"Don't worry. I will." Gary's tone of voice was calm.

"Well, continue with your dinner. My dad will soon arrive in Northern City." Yandrea said, "Xyrion is his precious son. Although I let him do something, my father still loves Xyrion the most. You know that too." "It's rare for you to show weakness." Gary did not expect Yandrea to admit that his father preferred his younger brother.

"Why can't I admit it?" Yandrea burst into laughter. "There's nothing I can't tell others."

"Well, you've always said that you're a man. I never expected you to act like a woman now."

Even when he was in such a bad state, Gary still didn't let go of the chance to make fun of his good friend.

"Yes, so what if I am now a softie?" Yandrea didn't mind the c at all.

Gary smiled and said, "Alright, since you've admitted it, I won't say anything further. Since that's all. I'm hanging up to continue my dinner."

The moment he finished speaking, he hung up.

Celeste had been listening to the call between him and Yandrea. She understood Gary's dilemma.

She became quiet.

Gary was probably the person who was having it worse.

She wasn't the woman suitable for him. She had no power to help him, and so she couldn't blame him for what had happened.

And at this moment, she realized that she had only been concerned about herself but not others.

She was such a selfish person.

The more she spent with him and his family, the more she felt she wasn't good enough.

She was reflecting on what Janice had said.

Shouldn't she improve herself based on the points Janice said about her not being suited for Gary?

The answer was no.

She had worked hard enough.

However, it was undeniable that she was not good enough for him.

She couldn't do it.

Celeste lowered her eyes and stopped talking.

Gary looked at her again for a long time. Soon, he finished his meal and said, "Alright, I'm full. Let's go for a walk."

She was slightly stunned. She raised her head and looked into his eyes. "A walk?"

"That's right. Can't we go out for a walk after dinner?" He smiled and looked wordlessly in his mother's direction.

Celeste immediately understood that he had something to say to her. Maybe it was inconvenient for him to do so at home, so he wanted them to leave the house for a bit.

"Okay, let's go." She smiled. "I'll go upstairs to get my coat."

"I'll come with you," he said as he stood up, "Forget it, wait for me downstairs. I'll go up and get you a coat. You can chat with my mom."

Celeste turned to look at Grace, nodded, "Okay, I'll be with your mom till then."

She went to the living room.

Grace said to Celeste, "The scenery at night is great. What a good timing to go on a walk, you get to spend time alone with Gary too." "I agree." Celeste nodded and sat down beside her. "Aunt Grace, aren't you tired? Your belly is this big, it must be so hard on you."

Grace smiled and said, "A bit, but everything is worth it, especially when the babies are born and you hear their first cries." Celeste couldn't imagine such a feeling, but she was envious.

She sighed, "You are really great."

"Having children is instinctive. The hard work is in raising the baby," Grace explained.

Celeste's heart jolted. At that moment, she thought of Cindy.

In any case, Cindy raised her.

Seeing that Celeste was absent-minded, Grace figured what was on her mind.

She smiled and said softly, "Pay Cindy a visit."

Celeste was stunned for a moment and looked at her in surprise. "Huh?"

"Although you don't say it, I know that you are thinking about Cindy. Even if she has hurt you many times, you will always remember her as the person who brought you up. Go visit her. Grace held Celeste's hand and smiled.

Celeste pursed her lips and fell silent.

Grace did not push her any further.

"The case has been investigated and the sentence will be handed down soon." Grace said, "She is not living a good life now. I heard from Heinz that she is in prison. She seems to be more at ease than before Heinz went to see her before."

"He went to see her?" Celeste was astonished. She couldn't understand what Grace was thinking. How could Grace possibly allow Heinz to visit that crazy woman?

What's more, that woman coveted him before.

Just how open-minded was Grace to be able to do that?

Grace smiled and said, "I think that he went to see Cindy last week."

Celeste pressed her lips together as she didn't know what else to say.

"I know you can't understand why I did this, and

you find it strange why I let him visit her." Grace saw through her without difficulty.

In fact, she was helping Celeste lay out her thoughts.

She didn't want Celeste to be splitting hairs.

Of course, Celeste wouldn't always be stuck in this phase.

Grace understood her very well.

She was trying her best to give Celeste advice and to open her mindset.

Maybe it would be better for Celeste to visit Cindy.

Celeste could understand Cindy a bit more and learned how Cindy went from being a glamourous star to being a zero.

Maybe from there, Celeste would learn that one mistake could lead to many more mistakes.

"When I was young, I admired her for her acting skills. She could present such complex emotions of the characters that she was playing. It was like she became the character itself."

"I was Cindy's fan until I saw the news about her seducing Heinz. Luckily, he didn't fall into her trap, and she went mad for it."

"It wouldn't have been easy for Heinz

and me to reunite if it were not for her." "And wouldn't have noticed

Heinz's good points." "It was because of her that I saw all of these. She brought us together and

made me see how loyal he is."

"I feel sorry for what had become of her."

"But this is how life is."

"Because of her, I got to know you, and then you become Gary's girlfriend."

"Isn't life strange?"

"When I was young, I never thought that one day I would be completely relieved."

"Not long ago, when I was in London, I never thought that I would forgive her."

"But now, I choose to forgive and understand her."

"Poor her. Now her face is destroyed and she is locked away in prison.'

"

After listening to Grace's words, Celeste licked her lips and did not say a word for a long time. Cindy's face appeared in her mind.

If it weren't for Cindy, she wouldn't have studied abroad, let alone be where she was now.

Life was strange, just as Grace said.

She hesitated for a while and finally nodded. "Alright, I'll take your advice and visit her."

Cindy might have harmed her birth mother, but Cindy raised her.

Even if her life was not smooth sailing, it was still a part of her history.

She couldn't blame others for her luck.

Some things couldn't be changed.

At this time, Gary had already put on his coat and was walking downstairs with Celeste's coat.

He said, "Mum, I'm taking Celeste on a walk."

"You should have done so earlier," said Grace, "Are you going to wait till she is as heavily pregnant as me to take her out to see the world? Do you

think she can walk by then?"

Gary raised his eyebrows and looked at his mother's belly. He smiled and said, "Thanks for the advice."
