When Love Turns Cold

CHAPTER 100

Chapter 0100

Sam replied, “Of course.”

Miranda said, “I thought the end of the year would be the busiest time for those working in the finance sector like you.”

“That’s not entirely true.” Sam smiled. He hinted, “It depends on who we’re talking about. As busy as we are, we’ll make time for those we hold dear. For those who don’t matter much, we can’t be bothered with them even if we have time on our hands.”

Miranda had yet to grasp the meaning behind those words when the lights flickered. It was time to exchange dance partners.

Under the obscure lighting, a figure was sent propelling their way.

As she exchanged places with Ingrid, Miranda could clearly see the look of surprise and disbelief on her face.

The next second, someone gripped her wrist firmly and domineeringly placed his hand on her waist. Hansel smiled provocatively while casting a subtle glance at Sam. When he turned, his gaze met Miranda’s and instantly softened.

“Mimi, are you still mad? I went to your place a few days ago, but no one opened the door,” he said, seemingly aggrieved. “If Sam hadn’t been spiteful and exchanged your flight details with someone else’s, I would’ve already found you.”

Miranda lowered her gaze. His words left no impact on her.

“Are you mad because I’ve only found you now?” Hansel lowered his eyes to gaze at her, and his voice unknowingly became gentler.

Just now, he immediately recognized Miranda and Sam when the spotlight fell on them. They then went to the dance floor and started dancing. Sam placed his hand on her slender waist with a flashy, alluring

smile.

Occasionally, they whispered to each other and looked into each other’s eyes. Hansel almost lost his temper at the sight. Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

Who gave Sam the right to hold Miranda? For the six years they’d been dating, Hansel hadn’t even danced the ballroom dance with Miranda.

So, when it was time to exchange dance partners, he cast Ingrid aside without hesitation.

He knew Miranda was surely angry this time, so he spoke to her nicely and gave in. He wanted to coax -her to return to him.

It was just like the other countless times when they quarreled. The only difference was he had to spend longer and more effort into doing it.

Until now, Hansel still thought he could persuade Miranda to return to him.

Seeing that she was indifferent, he felt wronged. “Mimi are you really that heartless? Be it Sam or Paul, I know you’re just using them to irk me. I admit it bothers me a lot. I don’t want to see you be in touch with them at all.

Those words…

It didn’t seem like Hansel to say all that. If it were before, Miranda would’ve secretly felt gleeful and would’ve been filled with happiness. That meant Hansel cared about her.

But now, it was all too late.

She realized that her insecurity was growing, and she was constantly in fear and worry. Her life was also revolving around Hansel. That was when she knew their relationship had come to an end.

“Mimi, we’ve been together for six years and gone through so much. We made so many memories together. Can you really let it go just like that?”

Noticing her impassive look, Hansel couldn’t help but tighten his grip on her hand.

Miranda frowned. “You’re hurting me.”

Hansel pursed his lips and let go. “Sorry…”

When the music ended, Miranda decisively stepped away from him. “The past is the past, and I’ve put those memories behind me. You should do the same.”

Recalling when they exchanged partners, she continued, “Since you’ve made your choice, please stay loyal. Don’t disappoint every woman you choose to be with.”

Then, she turned and left the hall. She quickly disappeared into the darkness.

Meanwhile, Sam was dancing with Ingrid. He wasn’t as passionate as when he danced with Miranda. It seemed he wasn’t even paying attention. His eyes were fixed on Hansel and Miranda.
