When Love Turns Cold

CHAPTER 106

Dave, who had been neglected, suddenly asked, “Hey, she looks unwell. Should we take her to the hospital?”

It was then Miranda realized there were many ers around her. They

all seemed relieved.

Winter snapped back to her senses too. “I’ve called emergency. Are you feeling any discomfort?”

“I might’ve injured my arm.” Miranda tried moving her arm. She could. still move in the water but not anymore now.

“What happened exactly? Why were you sinking?”

Miranda paused before saying, “Something’s wrong with my oxygen tank.

Winter had a thought and immediately picked up Miranda’s oxygen tank.

Nothing seemed out of place on the body of the tank. However… there was a hole at the bottom! Although it was a pinpoint, it was still a hole!

Winter cast a sharp glare at Dave.

“Impossible! That’s impossible! We change our gear every year, and we’ll conduct a thorough checkup before we put it into use. All these years, nothing has ever gone wrong!” Dave defended himself solemnly.

He continued, “Besides, even if there was danger, we could swiftly be rescued in the safe zone. No one would’ve drowned.

Winter was even angrier after listening to him. “So do you mean to say my friend’s lying? If I hadn’t steered the speedboat over in time, do you know what would’ve happened?”

Miranda swept a glance at Dave, who had been trying to explain. He seemed truly anxious and panicked. It was obvious he didn’t know how

THE REARS

Amid the bickering, Miranda enddenly said, “I met a shark”

Winter was alarmed

Dave was in disballer. “That’s impossible! T are blacklip reef aharsa outside the safe zones, but they neumy appear in the deep sea below 200 feet Compared to the other sharks, they are more timid and will normally avoid humans. They rarely attack”

Miranda gently and, “The camera on the wetsuit should’ve recorded everything. If you don’t believe me, you can retrieve the memory card and check the recording yourself.”

Dave was rendered speechless.

“Oh my god, what happened?” The lifeguard, Tim Reed, who was nowhere to be seen, finally came. He seemed shocked, as though he knew nothing about this.

Dave glowered. He felt like punching him. “Tim, where have you been? Why hadn’t you gone to her rescue immediately?”

Tim raised his arms like he was surrendering, Smiling sheepishly, he took a few steps back, “Dude, I was just using the restroom. So, what exactly happened? Why do you look so serious?”

Winter was infuriated. “You have the guts to say that? Aren’t you the lifeguard? My friend met with an accident and signaled for help, but you weren’t there. I have reason to believe you were deliberately stalling for lime,”

They were in the deep sea. The importance of lifeguards went without saying. If he wasn’t on the lookout, Miranda might have very well been. dead if Winter hadn’t realized she was in troublel

Tim wouldn’t let her make such an accusation, of course. He cunningly

“Besides, it’s normal for unexpected geidents to happen while being in the water. Your friend’s fine now, right?” He shrugged and sounded as though it was no big deal. His reaction was truly annoying
