Chapter 111
She watched Nate, who was fast asleep beside her. After a moment, she couldn’t help but let out a soft
sigh. “Helping your dad out this once is my way of atoning for Audrey.”
Natalie was half–asleep when she heard the sound of the door being pushed open. Blinking her eyes
open, she saw Brian stripping off his clothes, ready to hop into the shower.
If he showered here, he was definitely going to crash for the night.
She quietly turned over, pulling the quilt up over Nate.
As she pulled her hand back, she felt the mattress dip slightly beside her.
“I’ll take the comforter and crash in the den,” came Brian’s voice from behind her.
The futon in the den was pitifully small. Natalie turned around to face him and said, “I thought you were
going overseas for work.”
“So you won’t even spare a comforter for me?” Brian asked, his tone cool as he looked at her.
Natalie didn’t say a word, her silence making it clear she didn’t want him staying the night at Prestige
Penthouses. Her injuries hadn’t fully healed, but she didn’t want to show weakness in front of Brian.
After an extended gaze, Brian suddenly sighed, stood, and returned to the bathroom.
Watching him disappear, Natalie listened to the sound of running water and breathed a quiet sigh of
relief.
But just a few minutes later, Brian was back at the edge of the bed, sitting down.
He was clad only in a towel around his waist, revealing his firm abs.
The light from the bathroom spilled into the room, casting a glow on the newly scabbed cuts on his
torso, remnants of a recent explosion, along with the scars on his back from her frantic
scratches.
Natalie looked at him briefly, then coldly averted her gaze.
Suddenly, he reached out and grabbed her smooth leg, pulling her close with ease.
She sat up, frowning, “I have to go back to filming in a few days!”
Brian looked up at her, squeezing his hand gently at her waist, the other hand venturing lower.
“Brian!” Natalie propped her hands on the bed, clenching the sheets tightly.
She bit her lower lip, feeling humiliated. He leaned down, capturing a kiss, navigating her lips apart.
Natalie struggled briefly before turning her head to avold him.
But strangely, where his fingertips touched, a cool sensation began to spread. Though she was no
longer bleeding, the pain inside had been a dull throb.
Chapter 111
After the coolness, the pain seemed to fade. Had he been applying some sort of ointment?
Natalie paused for a moment, then looked over at Brian.
“Benjamin gave me the ointment.” he said, setting the remaining ointment on the nightstand. “If it helps,
I can get you some more.”
With that, he stood up and left the room. Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
Natalie sat still, watching him collect his things from the den, get dressed, and leave.
The moment the front door closed, she turned back and picked up the ointment, examining it.
Then she capped it, got out of bed, and took out her laptop to log into a game.
OldMate said, “Bro, you finally logged on. I’ve been waiting all day!”
Natalie replied, “I told you not to knock on my door upstairs, I’m being watched.”
“Don’t I need to return your flash drive? I haven’t seen you for half a month. It’s not safe with me.
Brian’s guys already broke into my place when I was out.”
“Just keep it there, let them think you’re FireWing.”
OldMate was speechless.
Natalie added, “I need a favor from you. Tell King I’ve hired you for a job and deduct your fee from my
salary.”
