Chapter 744
Nina followed Scarlett's gaze.
"Someone's here."
Scarlett went to open the door. It was Quincy who entered, not Nash. Nina's expression changed, thinking Nash had come. She glanced outside but saw no one else. Quincy came in holding a folder, which made Nina curious.
"Madam," Quincy nodded to her.
Nina, putting her negative thoughts aside for the moment, sat up and asked coolly, "What are you here for? Where's Nash? Did he send you? What's this about?"
Her tone was impatient. Quincy understood that the relationship between her and Nash was strained and would not be mended easily.
Quincy took a document from the folder and said, "Mr. York sent me. He needs you to sign this document."
Nina scoffed. "A document? What else is there to sign? We've already signed the divorce papers. What else could possibly involve me?"
She was puzzled. They were technically still married because they had signed the divorce agreement but had not filed for divorce. Even so, she could not think of anything that needed her signature. "It's a property and equity transfer agreement," Quincy said, handing the documents to her.
Nina was stunned and thought she had misheard. She looked at Quincy, then at the documents. There were several pages. A quick glance revealed that Nash was transferring all his assets to her. She could not believe it. During the divorce, she had only received a villa and a few million.
Why was Nash now transferring everything to her?
Was he planning to leave with nothing?
This behavior did not seem like Nash, and it made Nina uneasy. She picked up the documents and flipped through them, seeing pages full of dense text.
The more she read, the more confused she became.
She looked back at Quincy. "What is this about? Why is he transferring everything to me? What about him?"
Quincy replied, "This is Mr. York's way of compensating you."
Nina's expression darkened. "Do I need his compensation? Does he think giving me everything makes up for it? Can it bring back our child? Where is he? Tell him to come see mel
She did not quite understand. His actions made her feel deeply uneasy, as if he were giving up everything and preparing for the worst.
Quincy said again, "Even if you don't sign, everything will still be yours. Mr. York has already notarized it. Everything he owns is yours now."
Nina's brow furrowed. "Where is he?"
Quincy remained silent.
Nina did not feel happy. Instead, she
felt disrespected. "Did he even ask for my opinion before signing this?

"Mr. York didn't mean it that way."
Quincy, just the messenger, had not expected such resistance and did not know how to respond.
Nina asked again, "Where is he?"
Quincy said, "I don't really know."
"Don't know? How can you not know?" Nina said. "Are you kidding me?"
Quincy remained silent.
Nina closed the document and
threw it back at him. "Take it back. I
don't need his things. If he truly felt
guilty, he wouldn't just give me his assets. He would try to be a good husband or a good father.
