Wyatt stepped forward, joining his companion in examining the object with a

scrutinizing gaze. The exact contents remained a mystery, but the

appearance, texture, and what little they knew about it all seemed to align

perfectly with their expectations.

“Mr. Gwain, this is indeed the Dragon Tome of our Lannister family,” Wyatt

declared with unwavering certainty. “The material and the dragon

emblazoned on the cover–there’s no mistaking its authenticity.”

Gwain nodded, releasing his grip on the tome and turning to express his

deep gratitude to Finley. “Mr. Ford, you truly live up to your reputation as a man of your word. I am genuinely impressed–truly impressed.

Finley waved his hand dismissively, a faint smile gracing his lips. “Mr. Lannister

is a remarkable prodigy, achieving such unparalleled cultivation at such a

young age. It is I who should be in awe of you. Now that you have reclaimed

what rightfully belongs to your family, I must take my leave.”

“Wait.”

Gwain, no stranger to intrigue, was not yet satisfied. He sought further

clarification. “Mr. Ford, for a century, there have been rumors in the martial

arts world that the Dragon Tome is the most revered martial arts technique

of the Lannister family. Don’t you feel any attachment to it?”

“Haha… while the technique is indeed illustrious if it cannot be mastered, it is

merely a worthless tome,” Finley replied with a chuckle. “Rather than allowing

it to languish and decay here within the Summerton family, it is far better to

return it to its rightful place and let it shine within the Lannister family once

more.”

“None of you mastered it?”

Hank’s disbelief was palpable. “In these past thirty years, with all the martial

artists in your ancient forest, none succeeded?”

“Indeed.”

Finley admitted with a rueful smile, “Although not every member of the

Summerton family had the opportunity to study it, those who did myst

included, along with some trusted confidants–all failed in their attempts,

Years of effort bore no fruit.”

Wyatt exchanged a thoughtful glance with Gwain,

Gwain pondered this new revelation. If this was the case, it made sense that

the Summerton family had chosen to return the tome now,

Finley bowed once more and added, “Mr. Lannister, as you take the tome

back today, please let go of the grievances from the past thirty years. The Summerton family and the Lannister family no longer share any ties.”

Gwain offered a polite bow but chose to remain silent. He accepted the tome

gate.

“Is this what they call an unrivaled genius?

Once the three had departed, Finley stroked his beard with a satisfied smile.

“Truly extraordinary. Mastery of a hundred schools, graceful and intricate

techniques… Hmm, he is indeed a prodigy of the century.”

With that, he resumed his cross–legged meditation, diving back into his

intense practice.

About two hours later, another pair of young individuals–a man and a

woman–arrived at the stone gate, only to clash with the guards of the stone

hall.

“Let them through. Do not obstruct them.”

With Stone’s command, the Summerton family’s guards stepped aside.

The brother and sister approached Finley directly.

“Oh, you discovered my presence so effortlessly?”

Finley was mildly surprised. Gwain had taken a bit longer to notice him

compared to the man now standing before him.

“The senior’s cultivation is so profound, it’s as if you’ve merged with nature

itself. I am truly in awe,” the older brother said respectfully, bowing.

“And who might you be?”

Finley’s question was blunt.

“I am Xarri, and this is my younger sister, Quell. Mr. Ford, you must be the

legendary Grandmaster of Zovince, Finley, correct?”

Xarri’s words took Finley aback.

“Oh, you know me? And you’re not with the three individuals who were here

just moments ago?”

“Three individuals just now?”

Quell asked, her surprise evident. “Were they also from the Lannister family?”

“Indeed. That was none other than Gwain, the current number one in the

world.”

Finley emphasized the words “number one in the world” with deliberate

gravity,

Quell clenched her teeth, her eyes flashing with a trace of hatred. How could

Gwain be considered number one in the world?

“So, you’re not affiliated with them?”

Finley turned his attention back to Xarri. Your sister seems to harbor a deep

resentment towards Gwain.”

“That’s correct.”

Xarri did not shy away from the truth. “We are the children of Victor. Gwain is

the son of Eric. Fifteen years ago, Eric led a faction to kill our father. There’s no

possibility of us aligning with Gwain.”

“What?”

Finley was stunned. He had known both Victor and Eric but never imagined

such a tragic fratricide had occurred within the Lannister family.

“Ah, I see. Power often breeds tragedy, and even the greatest families are not

immune to its curse.”

After a contemplative sigh, Finley asked, “Then what brings you here today?”
