Young Lord of The Dragon Sect

Chapter 233 Have No Right?

Chapter 233 Have No Right?

Gibson snorted, “What you said sounds like you being reluctant to do so. Laura, as your sisters and

brothers, we all hope you and Victoria live well. But you shouldn’t give us a perfunctory answer.”

Gibson felt Laura was fooling him with a perfunctory answer.

Sylvie smiled and said, “Laura treat Maximilian very well. I intended to introduce a nice guy to Victoria

but she immediately got angry with me. In the end, it’s Laura who managed to fix the relationship

between Victoria and me. Frankly, Laura just doesn’t want to force Victoria and Maximilian to divorce.”

Sylvie picked Laura up on what she did and then looked at Laura, who was cross now, with

satisfaction. Sylvie felt great for her revenge on Laura

Laura clenched her fists and her body trembled intensely. She turned to Maximilian, roaring, “You are

such a loser. You insisted on coming to the party while I told you not to. Look how you irritate everyone!

Are you a normal human being? You are more useless than a pig. If we feed a pig, we will get pork to

feed the family. But we get nothing from keeping you. Our family loses faces because of you. Now look!

Who, among all our relatives, is happy for your present? Everyone says you are a loser. How long do

you want to be a burden to Victoria?” Laura raged against Maximilian, angrily punching Maximilian with

her fists.

Maximilian stood straight and looked at Laura silently, allowing her to beat him on the chest with her

fists.

Marcus’s eyelids throbbed and instantly stopped Laura, “There is no need to be angry with him, let him

be dead or alive.”

Laura wept, “I just regretted I didn’t force them to break up. If I had done so, Victoria wouldn’t have

become so miserable, and we wouldn’t have been looking down upon by everyone.”

Laura threw herself into Marcus’ arms to cry. Carson and others all thought the present situation is

awful. After all today was Hugo’s birthday.

“Laura, don’t cry. We said that with well-meant attempt. Marcus, ask her not to cry anymore. We will

bring Hugo to the banquet hall first.”

Carson held Hugo’s arm and lead the Wright family members to the banquet hall.

Marcus comforted Laura with a few words. Laura wiped away tears in her eyes and glared at

Maximilian, “We all lose faces because of you. I will get even with you when we get home. Victoria,

now you know that we shouldn’t bring him to such occasion with us.”

Victoria said nothing; she only held Maximilian’s hand softly.

Maximilian looked at Victoria with a faint smile. It seemed that they said what they wanted to each other

only through a smile.

Marcus shouted, “Let’s go to the banquet hall. Maximilian, remember to keep silent. If anything

happens because of you, you will to be embarrassed.” Then Marcus held Laura’s arms and left the

room with her.

Hugo and Carson and the rest of the Wright family went to the banquet hall. As today’s birthday man,

Hugo was naturally the last to enter the banquet hall, which showed his importance.

Laura and Marcus followed them to the banquet hall. When Maximilian and Victorian wanted to come

inside, they were stopped by Alfie.

“You loser want to get inside? That’s impossible!” Alfie raised his head and said to them.

Victoria snorted and asked, “Alfie, what do you mean?”

They have encountered mockery all the way along, which already made Victoria feel aggrieved. Now

they wouldn’t let them go inside the banquet hall, which made Victoria even more upset. If it was not for

the sake of Maximilian, she would have cried over this.

“What I mean is that we can’t let Maximilian go inside since grandpa was already upset by Maximilian

to such an extent. What’s more, your seats weren’t arranged in the banquet hall but on the outdoor hall.

You two might as well go sit there.”

Hugo’s birthday party was held at home. But the banquet hall couldn’t accommodate so many guests,

so they arranged the table in two places. The Wright family members and important guests would sit in

the banquet hall whereas the less important guests would sit on the outdoor tables. The two tables

were for two completely different groups of people. According to Victoria’s identity, she should sit on the

banquet hall. But because of Maximilian, she was forced to sit on an outdoor table.

Tommy mocked Victoria, “Victoria, if you kick the loser out, then you might get a seat in the banquet

hall. But you won’t. So you have to sit at the outdoor table. Otherwise, the Wright family’s reputation will

be tainted if people know that the loser is the grandson-in-law of the Wright family. It is known that the

Wright family is a-century-old noble family. We are a family of intellectuals, who will never have a loser

as our family member.”

Alfie and Tommy’s mockery made Victoria’s eyes reddish. She pulled Maximilian away with her, not

wanting to see her snobbish cousins.

Maggie stamped her feet and looked at Alfie and Tommy with disapproval, “You guys are impossible. I

will go sit on the outdoor table with Victoria since she has to do so.”

“Maggie, don’t mess with them. What are you going with them for? It is a huge humiliation to sit with

that loser!”

But Maggie ignored Tommy completely and went after Victoria.

Victoria and Maximilian went sit at the outdoor table. Maximilian looked at Victoria who was apparently

unhappy and her eyes were reddish. He knew she was rather aggrieved.

“Victoria, don’t be angry with them. They don’t understand you. There is no need to be angered by

them.” Maximilian held Victoria’s hand and said in a low voice.

Victoria squeezed out a smile from her face and said in a gentle voice, “I am okay as long as you don’t

overthinking it. What they had said was just horrible.”

Maggie came to Victoria and said, “Here you are! I would like to sit with you two.” She pulled out a chair

to sit on.

Maximilian looked at Maggie astonishingly. It surprised him that she defended them and even came to

sit with them.

“Maggie, why are you here? Grandpa likes you so much, and you’d better go back to the banquet hall.

We are fine with the seat arrangement.”

Maggie shook her head and pouted, “I think they are impossible. I am on your side, so I show my

support for you with my action.” Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

Victoria can’t help but smile. She knew she couldn’t persuade Maggie to do that. So she changed the

subject and started to have a chat with Maggie.

“I have heard that you got two MA degrees from college and that you have gotten an offer for Ph. D

from a prestigious university oversea.”

Maggie nodded heavily and said happily, “That’s true. I am about to go to study in Columbia University.

I have heard that there are many straight-A students there. I was a bit afraid that I might not be able to

adapt myself to the study environment there.”
